I was born with an ulcer, most of the people in my family were so I have a particular aversion to food. I eat because I must to survive. So I'm always trying different diets to keep my interest up in eating, otherwise I find that I tend to indulge in long fasts with periods of eating because I know I have to. My last diet experiment was a 21 day detox which took me to vegan and gluten free AND helped my migraines (I also ran like a 2nd grader, but that's just an awesome side note). After spending most of Summer 2012 exploring why the detox helped my migraines, I concluded it was the gluten-free aspect. Since then I've been working with gluten reduced diets. My current diet plan is based on the Warrior Diet with use of Shakeology and the basics of gluten reduction. I plan to continue with this eating style and recipe set until it either bores me OR conflicts with my activities.
After being pregnant for 3 consecutive years, last year was my first real year of being up to the pursuit of physical challenges again. This year, work go-live's withstanding, I plan to participate in a ToughMudder and the3day.com Cancer Research walk (3 days, 60 miles). I would also like to add some races to that if possible. Right now, I'm working on pull ups, mileage, and Insanity workouts. My goal is to log 60 miles per week by next month. Currently I'm up to about 36.
I'm looking to interact with other people with similar interests and upbeat attitudes.
