I've been 99% barefoot since 2006. Barefoot I've travelled to 45 countries, met presidents, facilitated conferences and round tables ... there's even a documentary about me, made in 2016. I've initiated and was part of the coordination of the biggest environmental campaign in the history of my country, Slovenia, whereby we had 13.5% of the population of our country go pick 20,000 tons of waste in one single day, on April 17, 2010.
I co-founded Sunny Hill Association in Slovenian Istria where I currently live. Twice a year I visit my partner in Vermont, U.S.
Currently, I work for a European network ECOLISE as Research Officer. Besides this, I'm a facilitator, translator (I speak 6 languages well and another 5 less well), cook, lecturer, traveller, advisor, masseur, permaculture practitioner, gardener ... and whatever else life demands.
My book Human: Instructions for Use is available in English since 2019 and it contains a long chapter about barefooting.
I am also a runner. I used to run 15 km every second day (within an hour). Now I run 7-15 km once to twice a week -- barefoot, of course. I am not as fast as I used to be; my tempo is 12 km/h (7,5 mph). Still fine for a recreational runner that I am.
When I am in Vermont, I am either in Hyde Park or Cabot. Feel free to contact me!
