I started running no actually walking barefoot this past spring as a way to deal with my grief over my divorce. I had no idea the experience would prove to be therapeutic. I walked my daughter in her stroller for about 3 weeks before my feet gained their strength and the transformation was unbelievable.

I looked forward to our walks more and more and me feet felt better and better. I noticed the arthritis in my toes gave me no pain for the first time in years. I wanted to go farther and farther like to the grocery store, the bank, you name it, I wanted to go there barefooted because it felt so good.

Running was the next logical step in the process so I started running 100 yards walking 100 yards and it just built up over the summer to about 3 miles per day and I felt great.

Now I am hooked and a hopeless advocate.

I just love my barefoot runs.

I have found some great places to run here that are free. I am hopelessly hooked after a summer of training I have gained strength and endurance and most importantly I am pain free now. (even my arthritus)

I think barefoot running great and want to open up the practice to all who are willing to try.

    Happy to share.

I just love my barefoot runs!
