What is your addiction?

Those are great, Shadows; however, I just cleared some paper clutter and put a small coffee maker on my desk (back in my cubicle dweller days). It brewed directly into my thermal travel mug, so I brewed a fresh pot whenever I wanted. Which was usually right before one of any interminable meetings I had to attend.

I got given a memory stick with about 4gb of e-books on it the other day!

That should keep me quiet on the plane.

Just realised I've been most quite on the addiction front. Generally I get bored too easily to to have any real long term ones, with the exception of chocolate (I can give it up, I just don't want to), my latest one is pilates.

The whole e-book thing doesn't appeal, it's not just the words for me, I like the smell of a book & there's a whole comforting tactile pleasure too.

That was exactly my opinion... until I bought an e-reader.
I bought it 'just for traveling', so that I didn't have to carry a huge and heavy bag of books....

And then I realized how nice it was to have all those classics within easy reach... And now I mostly read from my e-reader... which is much more convenient to carry on everywhere... (And I often load the book I'm currently reading onto my smartphone too, so that I can continue reading when I have some spare minutes somewhere....)

yep, and on my laptop too.

I've just realised that I may have the entire set of Discworld novels, for example

what, and miss out on your other addiction, the forum?

I'm currently reading a real book, Raw Spirit by Iain Banks, a great book, partly informative about whisky, partly travelogue, partly autobiographical.

I am only 5 days into a two week rest cycle I was forcing myself to take and just figured out I am addicted to exercise. Man, without exercise I really do not sleep well. Gonna go ride the bike today for an hour or so, hopefully tonight I will be able to sleep more than 4-5 hours...

Fantasy world, different groups struggling for power, occasional dragons and magic, etc.

I've heard that there are a lot of different characters, and you can't get attached to any of them because the prominent ones are just as likely to get killed off as the minor players. I'm partway through book 2, long way to go. Moves along better than Robert Jordan, more complex than Harry Potter.
