The confessional

Ya, I can run that pace but I don't know about the distance and I don't really wanna hold you back. A little worried about the temps that time of year too.

Hmm, a runner confession?
I have never seen anyone post slower times than mine, anywhere. Although sometimes I am not the last person finishing a race.
I am running Peachtree Road Race this year with DH. I hope our long run is up to 4 miles by race day.

Do you live in Georgia, HM?

Virginia, currently. But I spent 5 years and change in Athens -- I did my graduate work at UGA. So most of my friends from that time period are still in Georgia. DH and I run Peachtree occasionally just for the excuse to get everyone together for a party afterwards.

I'm trying to sneak in a late registration to the Leadville 100, fingers are crossed.
Just made a connection to the leadville 100 and Leadville CO......ddduuuhhh!!
I've got a buddy who lives in Leadville and has some sweet places to run.
Hope it works out for you!!
**sorry...no intention to hijack this thread

I was going to say maybe next year you and I could run it together, HM. I've run it the past three in a row barefoot, but not this year. :(

Yeah that one, still working on it though. It kind of sucks not knowing. Although in light of the study maybe it isn't such a bad thing if it doesn't work out?

I confess that more than likely, you are faster than I am. But that's okay, I'm out there getting some exercise and fresh air, and that's all that really matters to me.

I also confess that I let my dog off leash on a path where he's supposed to be leashed when no one is around. Don't tell the Po Po!

My knees ache all the time now. It never goes away :(

This was a problem for me barefoot as well. I've never mentioned it, but it's true; the 'bend the knees' approach put a lot of stress on my knees. I know the knee pain wasn't holdover issues from shod, because I began bfr off a long (more than a year+) layoff from running. I'm prone to bursitis in my right knee and have ACL issues on the left, so it's no surprise to me, but I was hoping...

I was walking around nakrd the other day and found a homeless guy sleeping on a bench. So, naturally, I removed his pants and ate away the vast majority of his face.

Also to note, the battery in the nanny cam I hid in the corner of TalonRaids bedroom 2 years ago has finally died. If you dont mind, buddy, think you could maybe replace those for me? My nights have been quite boring ever since.

I also impregnated a penguin during my short leave of absence. Not sure how that happened....

Sorry we asked. o_O

Keep the thought alive. We probably won't run it next year, but maybe in a couple. Assuming nothing catastrophic happens this year when we increase our long run by half on race day!
