Winter Challenge - Links and Rules

Yah, now that we have a dog, I was hoping to do more barefoot walking this winter. Would be fun to get back in the game.
A poochie pooch?! Pictures?

Yes, we got a pandemic puppy. Our daughter had wanted one for a few years, and with the kids doing distance learning, it was the perfect time to have her do most of the work.

She's Coco, a Labradoodle, about 8 months in this picture.

OK folks - Winter Challenge 2020-2021 is up and running (so to speak!)

Get the link on the very first entry of this discussion, as agreed upon for best efficiency...

Remember - you can't freeze to the the ground if you keep moving...

Cheers,

Christian

Many, many thanks, Christian! This challenge has always helped keep me motivated to stay barefoot on my cold runs. I have entered my runs up to this point on the spreadsheet. I really appreciate your work to keep it going.

I don't think I'll do it until March because the winter months in Iowa get blistering cold.

Will there be a Winter Challenge this year [2021]?

Sorry for the delay. Work got really crazy the last two months. Here is a new link for the 2021-2022 Winter Challenge. Hopefully I'll get to adding snowflakes soon. Let me know if anyone has trouble with accessing the spreadsheet. I'll probably notice a direct message to me quicker then I will a post. I'm a single parent with three kids, so they have been keeping me drained most days (or is that old age still haven't figure it out).

Let me encourage all those who think they will never walk barefoot in temperatures below 50ºF. Try this trick your first few times, pick a day with the sun shining bright on the black asphalt and head out barefoot. The sun will make the pavement warmer then the air temperature and it feels really nice due to the contrast. This even works really nice in the middle of winter on those really sunny days.

Happy barefooting.
