Ok, Boulder and I had a highly unusual 3 mile run this morning. We ran through the aftermath of were a Tornado went through our neighborhood (about 1 mile from our house) in Dallas.
To go back in time, we almost always run in the early mornings (starting before daylight).
We usually have a little light: street lights, house lights and landscape lights.
Today there was virtually no light except the stars and the Moon (they were cool by the way and we could see them better). It was very intersting to occasonally not be able to see anything except what the Moon was lighting.

That sounds wonderful! A dream-like run. You've probably already mentioned this, sorry, but Boulder is your dog?

Well a bit of an extended break for me..
Started experiencing some top of foot pain earlier in the Summer and couldn't shake it. I did the usual research/worry/research/etc/... and narrowed it down to probably being either a small stress fracture or maybe extensor tendonitis. Anyway I figured total rest was the only solution, so that's what I did.
Been back in the gym doing other bits & pieces (very dull!) and went out this weekend for just a short 3km.
Felt fantastic to be out again! Even though it was quite cold and a bit damp underfoot I absolutely loved the feeling of the ground again as I ran...
Now -to control my enthusiasm I'll spend some more time in the gym and then repeat next week hopefully just to be sure all is healed.....:barefoot:
