I normally drink coffee just to lift my mood to get myself in the mood to go for a run after work.

There was a story over here about a young guy who died after consuming a protein drink that he added a teaspoon full of caffeine powder to, I assume to pep up his workout. Apparently the equivalent coffee intake would have been between 25 to 50 coffees. He had a heart attack. I wonder if the coffee would dehydrate you on a run. I'll stick to water.
