5 mile run Tuesday 72 deg. f.
4 mile run Thursday 53 deg. f. clear skies nice moon, cool breeze.
Very nice running weather.

Boulder and I started out at 6:00 AM this morning. With the daylight savings time it was already a beautiful sunrise. I could still spot the Moon it was very cool and skies were clear.
We did 7 miles I planned on 6 but it was so nice we did 1 extra.
spotted a few red tail hawks, one goose in flight (honking), some parrots, we heard a rooster crowing and heard the parrots.

A very quiet week for my feet: one run, nearly 8 miles. Went three miles in sandals, got tired of them, continued barefoot. Got one "wow" -- from a cyclist who looked like an advertisement for cycling products.

I'm continuing my discovery of the unwritten social standards among runners. It seems that early morning runners -- pre-dawn, especially on weekends -- are excited to see each other and happy to say hello, but 8am-ish runners are miserable and can't wait to be done with running and don't want to be reminded that anyone actually enjoys being out there. I wish there were a way to put smiles on more faces. There's got to be some way to design a T-shirt that will leverage the feet-face-feet looks that people give me. "Pavement connoisseur." "Ankle-down nudist." "Happy feet, happy mind." "No pain, no gravel." "The road is just one big asphalt orthotic."

That’s interesting. I’ve noticed much the same... when I run early in the day most other runners will say hello, or respond if you say hello first. If I run the identical route in the evening-no one says a word! ...most odd, or it could just be me obviously:)...
