Have any people on here met a significant other through running barefoot? If not were they open about you running barefoot? Also, has anyone been on a barefoot only date or went to a wedding barefoot? Or even had bare feet as a requirement at their own wedding?

No to all :/
Wifey doesn't like me running barefoot, specially the in city "because it's dangerous, and you can get hurt and get a disease, and blahblahblah", but she just accepts it.

Well, yes. I was thinking about it as trying to find a place where no one would question your barefootedness, but of course a park should do it, too. On the other hand, why bother about what others think?
So, summing it up, we have:
A beach
A lake
A park
Maybe a trail or somewhere in the countryside?
I can't really think about other romantic places. In the end it depends on the place itself.
Cheers!

What he said ^
My ex thought I was crazy at first when I was going to try barefoot running, but as a very non-barefoot person I thought I was crazy too. :wacky:
Eventually I totally converted to barefoot everything (most of the first year was strictly just for running) and she just reluctantly tolerated it.

Since we split up I have unfortunately not had another date, barefoot or otherwise. :sorry:
It's different when you're already married and start into barefooting, as you ease them into it. I suppose with the way most people think, being barefoot might hinder first impressions to the average person. This time around I hope to find someone with more similar interests, active and outdoorsy at least. I keep hoping to meet someone at a race, I go to enough races where you're among thousands of runners, always cute girls there at the start line! But I'm sure it further hurts my chances when I am starting with my barefoot friend Yvonne, since we always start together and both barefoot and similar age I am sure people assume we are together (she is married).

Tell Yvonne to put on some shoes! Then people won't think you're together. Ha!

Yeah, that's not happening. She doesn't even wear shoes when it's like 0ºF out(she's done quite well in the winter challenges)!

Good luck also Tyler, but I've been on many forums for many years and could count on one hand the number of single women around my age range, just doesn't seem like single women are big into forums that I am lol. It was seemingly a stroke of luck finding Yvonne and nearby... of course she turned out to be married... but nice to have a local barefoot running partner!

Thank you. And it's okay about it being hard finding girls my age on these forums. I prefer to meet someone not through a website anyway. Not saying it's bad.
