Cool and groovy 5 mile recovery run today at 5:00 am.
75 deg. F. 95% rh.
Knocking off some of the bad stuff.
I sweat some.
Lightning bugs and rabbits.
 
On Monday, I only swam and did yard work for recovery activities. Tuesday, I was still kind of tired from that extraordinary weekend, so mostly did desk work. Wednesday, dear hubby went on a run with me, although some of you will know that means he ran in the opposite direction around my pond loop so that I would see him more. He was moving from 7:30 miles to 6:30 miles, whereas I was doing 9:50 ending closer to 8:20 in my final half mile. My distance was 5.5 miles.
 
A little over 10miles this morning. 10.2 average pace, but that also included a mile climb where I spluttered up at 11min pace.
Overall feeling good, I seem to have settled in the 10's for my 'Duracell' pace, where I can enjoy my running and the countryside at the same time without feeling overly stressed.
 
Finished up the week with 10 miles on Friday, then 3.1 today. Also swam today and went dancing this evening. Was allowed by the establishment to do that barefoot. It was quite obvious I was barefoot, since for the first several songs after we arrived, my husband and I were the only ones on the floor. But it helps loosen othe people up and a few others venture out sooner or later.
 
Last week I was on nightshifts and pretty tired when I got up in the afternoons but forced myself to at least get short runs in of 2-3 miles each day, then a few longer runs on the weekend. Afternoon runs starting to get very warm in the 80's especially with full sun. And those darn deer flys!

30.4 miles total 9 days in a row running (not sure that might be a record for me). No cycling this week though.
