Georgia--Nice meetup today with Micsa, NSpollard from the BRS and Aaron a local Luna sandal/barefoot ultra-marathon runner who stopped by to run with us. It was a very nice Spring morning sunny 65-70F, we did a 5 mile pavement lap around Stone Mountain together than Aaron and I did another 4.75 mile lap on the Cherokee trail.

Talked to a couple running ladies and one guy that had tried barefooting a little and asked us some questions about adjusting to barefoot...that's more interest than I usually see.

Pretty good running day all around!

All, please feel free to also post in your own chapters. I didn't mean to only post here. Sorry about that. I will be sharing these with the Facebook crowds too.

Hi Folks,
We were a little light on this year due to other commitments but the we still had a showing for Adelaide that consisted of David, Luke and myself.
May weather can be quite unpredictable and so I kept a close watch on the forecast from earlier in the week. Happily the weather improved as the IBRD drew closer. The rain was replaced by sun and a mild 20C temperature.
The course was a loop around an eastern section of the Parklands at encompass Adelaide city centre. A short 5km loop that takes in the River Torrens, the sports fields, Adelaide Zoo and the botanic gardens.
Luke who has been running barefoot for a while now joined the group for the first time and as we were all experienced barefoot runners we set off at a good pace around the undulating course averaging around 6min per kilometre.
After the run it was time for a coffee at the St Peters Bakehouse, a popular cafe bakery in this expensive leafy suburb. It was warm enough to sit outside enjoying the coffee and watching the leaves falling from the trees ready for winter (which turned up on Tuesday morning with wind and rain).

The rain didn't stop everyone having a great IBRD in the UK. More details to follow. :)

The weather was gorgeous for the 5th annual IBRD, around Green Lake in Seattle, WA.

Another one in the books and once again I was the only participant in this year's IBRD in Erie, PA. :(
It was a beautiful day, too! Sunny, no wind, and temperature around 62F.
There are at least two other barefoot runners I run with in Erie who unfortunately couldn't make it, but I at least represented!
Did a nice 3 miles on Presque Isle State Park right along the Lake Erie shore.
And check out the cool shirt!

It has been awesome to see on the forum here how many people got out and enjoyed the day to promote International Barefoot running day.

It was our first time at holding an event for the occasion which we only kept very low key as we have a commitment on the morning of the run to set up our
market stall at the village we ran through.

As it was I am glad we did not have a large turn out the rain that we had during the week turned creeks into rivers and did a lot of damage.

All in all it was good fun and we will get more of an event planned for next year.

I use an app on my phone called Hangwith to live stream stuff that we get up to so some of the video is not really good quality because of internet connection
but it does show you some of the obstacles we had to go around because of the rain.

...once again I was the only participant in this year's IBRD in Erie, PA. :(

Next year, let us help you publicize it, Sailor.
