The World Cup and Barefoot Brazilians

Its interesting, my wife is from Brazil, so we are big futbol fans, and very excited about the Worldcup.

An interesting barefoot tidbit...most Brazilians believe that ONE OF the reasons that Brazilians are so good at soccer, is because they grow up playing without shoes on very hard packed dirt with no grass...it makes them strong, supple, and sensitive, and the ball moves very fast on that type of surface.

Haha, barefoot running while growing up doesn't just make the Kenyans better runners, it makes Brazilians better Futbol-ers :)

You would like TrailBall then. Paul, link please; I'm on the iPad, so it's tedious to operate, for me anyway.

Okay Paul, its on lol...I noticed you hold the current 5k world record!

Now where do i get an official game ball?

One question, do I have to actually be in Wales to break the Welsh record, or does Welsh ancestry qualify? ;-)

My last name is Cundiff :) with ancestors from Cardiff apparently

Hi Steve,

Yep, I technically hold the Solo World Title though it wouldn't take a lot of beating. Haha

You need to email Christian at [email protected] for an official ball.

I'm actually from the North of England, so yes Steve, you would be the fastest Welshman! :)

There are a few balls in circulation in the US but there hasn't been any claim for any records from that part of the world yet, so you could claim that title too!

Good luck!

Paul

You should start a Strava group, its probably too hard to compare courses but then they could claim king of the mountain on them.

Thanks for the tip Abide. Good idea! I'll let Christian know. We are doing it with GPX files at the moment. This would be a lot slicker :)
