How do you clean your feet??

I've been barefooting for around 6 months now (with a short broken glass induced break in the middle). I have been using an exfoliating shower gel to clean my feet to get as much of the grime out as possible which works okay. I recently started using a pair of exfoliating gloves which seemed to do the best job of getting my feet back to a healthy colour again. However I realised yesterday that after giving my feet a good scrub that they were feeling more tender after the cleaning than they were after the excercise. I had to cut my mileage right back a little while ago as I was suffering from persistant blisters (It's quite possible that this coincided with starting to use the gloves). It looks like the gloves are a little too harsh but I don't really want to permanently look like i've just come back for a run! What does everyone else do cleaning wise?

I use an exfoliating glove too. It's not a problem!
Maybe take a little more time to clean your feet but scrub more softly.
It could also be that the sensitivity in your feet is just part of the normal development process - at 6 months into BFR your feet are unlikely to be done developing.

They get easier to get clean. My first couple of times out after the winter, they are gross. And near the middle of the summer, my plantar skin gets, as my kids say, "plasticky".

I use a bottle brush on mine in the shower. They have a long handle so I don't have to bend down all the way in the slippery shower.

They cleaned themselves when I shower and if they don't get fully clean then I scrub them with a washcloth.
That simple;)

I just use my normal Irish Spring bar soap and scrub my feet by hand, if I have any persistent sap or tar left I will lather up again and then use (shhhhhh!) my wifes loufa thingy on them. I find that my soles when I've been barefooting will never look like my shod sole. The color of the sole does change and get a slightly darker-redder color. They also look healthy and smooth and look tough but are very flexible. My feet after being shod for a prolonged time though tend to look pale and crispy (flaky maybe?) with calluses and a lot of white cracks.

I use a floor scrub brush with stiff bristles. Felt weird for the first week of use, but feels great after the run now.

I used to just use soap and my hands in the shower, but long runs on some asphault roads would leave black stains that didnt come out with gentle washing. My wife picked up several of these plastic scruffy pads I guess designed for the shower, they come with like soap soaked into the soft side, and a harder scruffy side on the opposite. Though I don't recommend going there, I think she got them at Wallmart. Works pretty well.

Normaly I just use soap but if they are really dirty I use a sponge like the ones you clean your pots with, the ones with some green plastic-like scrubbing on. Works just fine (oh I don't reuse it for pots afterwards :)

What Dama said! The only other thing I do it use a tooth brush now called my "Toe Brush" mainly for my toes but also on occasion on the bottoms of my feet for a tar stained area.

Since going barefoot I keep my toe nails trimmed short and clear of debris under the nail thanks to the toe brush. I have noticed that my toe nails don't grow nearly as fast anymore since going barefoot, any one else notice this with their own feet or am I just weird? Don't bother answering the last part of that question, I already know the answer.

toe nails grow normal and are almost always dirt filled. hard to clean.

pumice stone works good. gentle scrub everyday. when i run on the track it takes about two days for them to come clean but people see the tops of my feet, not the bottom so no biggy, which are quite tan since i am either bf or in sandals all year.
