So 8 days ago, I noticed some knee pain. Its hard to call it pain; discomfort and instability and some decreased range of motion. I think its from wearing heavy boots for a few days in a row. I ran 6 days ago, fine, no problems, but decided to take a week off for the heck of it. Yesterday I did some leg extensions and leg curls, and my right quad felt like it was weak. I think I had some knee pain from the boots and some weakness in the quads (go figure).

Tomorrow I'm gonna do a 20 minute run and see how it goes. I guess the week I took off wasn't too bad. I guess its always good to let the body repair every now and then. You never know whats going on inside those leg and foot bones until you've done too much.

I pulled my back at PT a couple of weeks ago. I've been inactive for the past ~16 months, so my back muscles were weak, and when the DPT put me on the reclining bike and set the tension, my back gave out. The MRI showed I have two bulging discs.

Some rest is good; too much is bad. :(

I was a little stressed at work today, and I think that aggravated it. I went running anyway, and did OK. 20 minutes, no big deal. At 10 minutes I stopped, walked for a minute and did some lunges and air squats to see what was up. My lower quad was sore... I'm hoping I just lost some strength in my quad and need to work it back up a bit and I should be good. If not, off to the doctor I go.

That does not sound good at all, you weren't off from running for that long to lose strength something is not right and you should take care of it quickly. I don't think you should be running for now.
sorry

Knee pain has subsided and returned. I have found some trigger points up in my hip though! I'm going to work those out.. It feels better today. I also think I need to strengthen the glutes and the quads.

Ouch TJ.
I know back pain.
Some people have bulging discs- it is a symptom of getting u hem "old"- but I was 31 when I ruptured my disk which broke my back. It was a long recovery. I now have bulging discs which they say are some what natural. I relieve pain by using an inversion table which stretches my back and provides blood flow to those areas between the squished vertebrae.

Also on knee pain, not to take this topic off to much I also have a weird knee pain as of 2 days ago, I am resting and icing.
All of this, guys, comes to listening to our bodies to know what it needs.
