What beer are you drinking tonight? For the new forum...

Meh Lager and in a yellow can to boot, but at less than 2 bucks for the pint while watching the sun come close to setting on an 84 degree sunny day in Key West last week who's complaining! (it still beats the BL lime on the wall hands down) 006.JPG

woah, check out that badass, dayum!

Thanks guys, but with only the can available as a reference plane things can be deceiving. Weighing in at a whopping 155 pounds soaked in sweat I come much closer to being a skinny little runner than a former footballer.

I should dig up a picture of my Hubby when he came into the military... 5'8 and 105lbs. When they shaved his head, he looked like a cancer patient! Now he is 5'7 and a whopping 140 soaking wet. ;)

You know, I don't know how tall you are, but don't sell yourself short. You have muscle definition that a lot of runners simply do not. In any case, this is getting a little weird so, ya bro, your a skinny little dweeb. ;)

But I AM short! Well, 5'5 to be exact.
Anyways I am the newly appointed BRS Michigan Chapter President, so I've reached the top despite the vertically challenged ceiling otherwise so prevelent in the corporate world.
Let's all have a beer to celebrate!

I'm drinking a Deschutes Brewery Hop Henge to celebrate! Dang that's a great beer to drink. I gotta find a clone recipe, it's to expensive to keep buying in the big bottles like this.

155lbs

That's humungous.

After a recent bout of flu/heavy cold, I dropped down to 63-64 kg, that's a massive 140-ish lbs at 5' 7".

The week I turned 18 the province of Ontario lowered their drinking age to 18. Sure it meant driving 20 minutes south to Canada, (only in Detroit can you do that!) but the .o5 cent drafts were affordable. So much so that we splurged and ordered a dozen for the table at a time. Border crossing was never a worry, as long as the car passed the weed & draft dodger clearence we had it made.....no matter how wasted even the driver was as long as it was from alcohol. So being weaned on Molsen and Labatt's we thought of all domestic brews as tasting the same. Six months later the state of Michigan also lowered it's legal age to 18, so we got to spend the gas money (.21 cents a gallon so even in our four barrel carb V-8's a dollar went pretty far) on more beer instead.
PBR, Strohs, Blatz, Carling Black Lable, Bud, Miller High Life, Shlitz, Goebel, Falstaff, you name it......all pretty much the same stuff already by that time despite their individualized original recipes.
Love that PBR has attained hipster status as the only classic domestic mixed into the list at new cool places specializing in micros/crafts!

So what's going on with the watering down over there? You know I always suspected that:p.

Brewdog Punk IPA for me this evening, from a Scottish micro brewer that's becoming midstream if not quite mainstream yet.

Americans prefer quantity over quality, like fake boobs.
Wow, I don't feel that is entirely accurate. Maybe that's because of where I live though. I have a buddy in Ohio and he says pretty much all they drink is the watered down beers like bud or bud light or coors, etc. I think he's going to be in for a world of hurt if he tries to drink like he does there when he comes out here to visit...

Sorry, that was meant to be a generalization, not an absolute. Over the last twenty years of course a sizeable minority of Americans have turned on to finer brews, myself included. Still, you have to admit, on the whole, we're a pretty crass lot.

Probably true. As a young lad I used to like the cheaper stuff, but that was because it was exactly that, cheap.

I don't, I'm pissed I can't find 30 packs for less than $20 anymore. What's the point at that price level.

You ever get Point beer on your side of the pond? Thats another good one from Wisconsin.
