The "Guy" Movie List

No, I didn't know that. I thought it was a movie about old war veterans or something. That's what the title makes me think of.

Ok guys, I got confirmation on one: watched The Big Lebowsky with my wife today and when it was over, she said, "well, that was pointless".

I mean, it is. Pointless. But that the point! Chicks don't get it.

Also, if she hadn't been there, I would have watched the beach blanket scene a few more times.

I don't think Reservoir Dogs has been mentioned yet Mr.Red, or just about any Tarantino movie come to think of it.
Pulp Fiction
Kill Bill vol 1 and 2
From dusk till dawn
To name but a few.

Had to think about that one for a sec. You mean Jackie Treehorn's "garden party"

...and yes, pointlessness is the point. Was there a point to Smokey and the Bandit? No. But it's still good, why? Because 'Murica, that's why.

It's more a movie about an unstoppable killer....killing people.

Yea, I kinda figured that after the first five minutes. I guess the opening gave it away.

All I know is I'm seeing a few titles on here that I haven't seen that I'm going to have to check out.
Between that and all the new craft beers I'm going to have to try it's really going to cut into my running time.
Thanks, guys. ;)
Fortunately I can remain barefoot while drinking beer and watching movies...so there's that.

About half of the movies mentioned my wife actually likes to watch. She usually insists upon keeping away from aliens and horror. She also doesn't like to watch Mission to Mars due to the stranded scene with the husband and the wife tries to save him. She hates that scene.

Does it concern you that your wife doesn't like to see one attempt a husband rescue?

No, the first time we watched it she didn't think anything bad was going to happen. But when she was so close but failed to rescue him, it was the husbands response that made my wife very upset and I got the look that if I were ever in a situation concerning my own life I had better not have the same idea.

Did anyone list "This is Spinal Tap"?

I actually like Cannonball Run II better than the first one. Gotta love Daisy Duke driving a color-changing Lamborghini Countach :D

Independence Day - this late in the game, I'm assuming I must have somehow overlooked an earlier mention of this one.
Princess Bride (scoff if you will, Luddites among us, but there is no better swordfight scene on film, and no better place for more directly applicable quotes to apply to life) - if you haven't seen it, you've missed Rob Reiner's best - don't let the name put you off the trail of this one.
Technically not movies, but everything on film starring the 3 stooges or Laurel and Hardy.
