Women's Triathlon 10/17/10

Anyone else gearing up for the Women's Triathlon in San Diego??

I've been training for it - swimming barefoot (teehee), biking shod, and running barefoot.

I was scheming of a way to make my huaraches tri-ready, but even I'm not that crafty.

A lot of my friends are going the Vibram route, but I just don't have that kind of $$$.

I guess I'm just gonna put my big-girl pants on and do this one completely bare!

I mean, I'm already doing my intervals shoeless, and the race is where I train!

If anyone else is doing their tris bare - I'd love to hear about it!!

I did a triathlon barefoot this summer, and then another one in huaraches. The tri I did in huaraches had the race on trails, and, since Ididn't know the trails beforehand, Idecided to wear something on my feet. If you have the huaraches tied slip-on style, they are no more difficult to put on than a pair of shoes.

My T2 for the one I did bare was 38 seconds.

Good luck!
