So I'm probably like many of you who heard about barefoot running from the book “Born to Run” by Christopher McDougall. The vibram five minimalist shoes looked weird but cool and the whole idea of barefoot running just seemed to make sense, on paper at least. So I went out and got a pair and started running around, but the whole thing was not much more than a curiosity. Then I got around to actually reading “Born to Run” last December, and got super inspired and decided to run a marathon this July either barefoot or in minimalist shoes.
