I was out on a hike with the cub scouts. It was a beautiful tree lined two track with light gravel. Two moms were discussing a pair of Shape Ups. **Shudder**
Of course I told them that those were the worst possible things they could wear. The one mom knows I am a barefooter. I told her I'd go barefooting right then and there if the BSA would let me. She said "go right ahead."
So, I did. I ran about a 1/4 mile down the trial in my bare feet with a bunch of cub scouts trailing along. I was dressed in jeans and a couple of sweatshirts so I got a little hot too quickly and had to stop. Still, I was quite pleased with being able to run on the two-track.
