Omega Prostate/Colon Cancer Awareness 5K - Little Rock 4/22/2017

Prostate and colon cancers are among the leading causes of death in Americans and are disproportionally deadly among African-American men. Yet with early detection, these diseases are highly treatable. With this in mind, the gentlemen of Omega Phi Psi in the Greater Little Rock area sponsor the Omega Prostate/Colon Cancer Awareness 5K. Today was their fifth annual race and it was a great success. Fleet Feet Sports of Little Rock is one of the race sponsors. Our No Boundaries participants and mentors were well represented among the medal winners, including the fastest overall time. As the lone barefoot runner, I got lots of attention, finished ahead of my target time, and won a third-place medal for my age group. A good time and a good cause.
