My First Barefoot Full Marathon

07.jpg

Sunday I ran my first full marathon barefoot. After finishing six barefoot half marathons last year I was finally able to train up enough to make it through a full. This race was in Alabama and was half on paved golf cart paths and the last half on roads. My feet held up pretty well but I did have some issues with my quads at the very end. The hard concrete paths may have had something to do with that. I went pretty slow on this one. Of the seven marathons I've done this was my slowest but I think I'll get my speed back as I get some more marathons completed.

Congratulations Badger! I know how much time it takes to work up to a marathon. Looks like a really cool place to run.

Congratulations, a huge accomplishment. A full BF marathon is on my bucket list, working towards it. But a big tip of the cap to you!

You should be very proud, congratulations! I started on Thursday. 2.5k, today 4K. I've done 6 marathons and a 100k (all with shoes). But from this week onwards, only bare feet. Could you maybe tell me how long it will take me to be ready to run one bare feet. Maybe you could break it down like when ready for 10.000, half and full. My best time, for s full with shoes, is 3:07:33. Thanks s lot!

Sounds like you did great to me!
