Mileage Log Catchup

OK, I've missed a lot of posts, but will try to get back into it. Since Aug. 1 to 7th, I've progressed pretty well. Iran 7 miles Aug. 8-14; 10 miles Aug. 15-21; and 20.2 miles Aug. 22-28. All pure barefoot, no shoes or anything whatsoever. Ihit my goal of doing a 20 mile week by the end of August. So, that's 55 miles for August, only a slight improvement over July. But I'll take any improvement! The trick in getting the mileage up was running 6 or 7 days a week, in small distances. So, when working on getting mileage up, it really does seem healthier to run 2 or 3 miles a day, every day, rather than trying for big long runs every few days. Ihave no pain, no blisters, no issues at all except for cherry pits covering all the paths!

In September, I've started off pretty good. Last week Idid exactly 20 miles with 5 4-mile runs. Ihad a stretch where Iactually did 26.5 miles in 7 days, it just didn't run Sunday through Saturday or whatever. I'm shooting for 20+ mile weeks every week in September, with a 25 mile week being my peak. That will probably do it for long-distance barefoot running this year, as my feet actually get numb in temps under 50 degrees.

I will switch to my water shoes throughout October, and get my mileage back up to 40+ miles per week.
