It's really cold

OK, I had to try. Bundled up against the wind and walked up and down my street so that I'd never be more than 200 yds from my house. Got .63 miles, (about 1 km) and my feet feel fine. Wind cut through my layers like a knife. Air temp is 12°F; wind chill is -5°F. Not my smartest move, but it's going on the winter challenge. I think they count wind chill!

Do you find that when you run barefoot in seriously frigid temps, that if you bundle up thick in the torso, your feet don't feel the cold as much? I did. The thinking goes that the core being so warm will push the heat out to the extremities. -TJ

I do find that if I can keep my core, head and hands warm, my feet are fine. I'm sure there's a limit to this.

Yes, I agree. The cold will always win when we overdo it.
