C25K Week 3 Day 1

Ran in a light rain this morning. Been running completely barefoot since week 1 day 1. My feet are feeling great! Hardly any soreness after running now. Been running in half grass half sidewalk.

I'm not a new runner, it's just been a while and I wanted work back into it. Plus, I stopped running shod and started completely barefoot. Starting out slowly is helping my feet get used to no shoes.

jdk, it's not just your feet, but your whole lower body that has to get used to no shoes. Keep it slow and you'll be fine. Most problems new bf runners have are due to "too much too soon" (aka TMTS). And welcome to the BRS!!

That's a good point Mike and I've noticed it as well :) Thanks for the welcome!

Good luck to you. A 25K is the longest I've been able to run barefoot due to having Morton's Neuroma, soif I can do it, you can do it. Let us know how you progress.

Thanks TJ :) Just started week 4 this morning...feeling great! Oh, almost done with Born To Run..I can't believe I havn't read this book yet!
