Completing the Catskills All Trails Challenge
This blog post describes a project I completed which consists of walking, hiking, or running every mile of official trail in New York's Catskills Mountains. In recent months, I've learned a lot from reading Ken Bob Saxton's book on barefoot running, and just wish I'd read it much earlier! https://thelongbrownpath.com/2018/09/05/3000-miles-barefoot/

Barefooting the Grand Canyon
Inspired by Thea Gavin, I recently hiked down Bright Angel Trail without shoes, and then at the bottom put on my Terraflex trail-running shoes and power-hiked back out. Blog post at https://thelongbrownpath.com/2018/08/23/down-into-the-grand-canyon-and-back-up-again/
