For three weeks, I've tried different pairs of "shoes" with the barefoot/minimalist philosophy for winter and the results = disaster! Any suggestions??

I'm currently running completely barefoot outside, but needed something during my transition. I also expect to need something part of the winter. I definitely prefer the Soft Star Shoe Moc3s. I've even been wearing them as my everyday shoes much of the time. http://www.softstarshoes.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=1822&CFID=10489286&CFTOKEN=dd66fa4b4d5460ea-B2335986-19B9-F804-F7BE962469652792&jsessionid=84307f5f8654e4dd7e072a7935b2f5183a62

I am not currently running due to and injury caused from my many years running incorrectly in "running shoes", but I prefer not to wear shoes at all. I am in the military and am forced to wear some sort of running shoe so when I do I like my old VFF KSO's. I leave the strap very loose so that it does not pull on the bottom of the shoe creating arch support. I would recomend just staying completely barefoot for all our running. Your body will tell you what adjustments to make.
