MetroParks Special

Folks might be interested in this video, from the Columbus MetroParks. Earlier this year, their director was training to scale Mt. Everest, and scheduled a bunch of training hikes at one of our local parks. The local CBS station, WBNS, came and filmed some of it.

I did quite a few of the hikes, barefoot of course, and the show that they produced included an interesting juxtaposition of some of the ways that the MetroParks were used for "extreme" pursuits
(though I really don't think barefoot hiking is all that "extreme"). I thought their segment turned out pretty well.

Very nice, Ahcuah! Makes me miss the feel of the dirt and debris under foot.
