I'm just back from a week's holiday in Southeastern Maine.
I have to give the Maine DOT praises for their superior job in paving the state road at the end of my gravel lane. The new pavement was only a week old and was so smooth it felt like running on leather. It was like a vacation for my feet!
I had to go off on side streets to find stimulation enough to feel like I'd actually run, and I took a day hike to find REAL trails with glacial boulders.
