June 1'st is the annual Oak Apple Run in Royal Oak MI.
    There is a 1/4 mile, a two mile, a 5K, and a 10K race.
They allow teams of 3-5 runners at a discount running under the team name, with as many teams as needed per group.
I have three for sure that can run as the BRS team...how many of you all could make it as well?

We only need three to be a team, and we should have at least three comitted by mid-day IBRD.
The real question TJ will be how MANY teams (3-5 allowed per team).
I've done this race twice before, and since Royal Oak is midway between my home and office I will have plenty of oportunities to check out where parking will be allowed and plan on arriving early early to park the van with BRS signs and possibly banner in a high-visibility area.

Okay...clarify this "team" thing. Is this simply a team discount or a relay race?
Either way it sounds like another good way to get the word out. :)

    From their website:

Other groups are welcome to make teams to compete against other non-corporate teams.

    Guidelines

    1. Each Corporation or Other division may have as many teams represent them as they wish.
    2. Multiple teams from the same organization should be designated alphabetically. (i.e. ROFD Team A, ROFD Team B)
    3. Teams may be all male, all female, or include both male and female.
    4. Each team is made up of at least three, and not more than five, members.
    5. The top three times on each team are used for scoring.
    6. A team captain must be designated.
    7. All team entrants must be employed by said corporation.
    8. All team entry forms must be submitted together at the same time.
    9. Pricing follows individual costs as indicated on the application.
    10. The captain and the rest of the team members will need to pick up their packets on designated dates as listed under the packet pickup information.
I didn't see anything about best time per mile anywhere.
OH, and check out the animated logo on the homepage......It's a barefoot runner!

It's because we had spring/summer for a day and now back to blah.
Yesterday I got up at 5:30, ran 3 miles, biked, skated, got outside home and auto maintenence done, visited with neighbors emerging from seasonal hibernation, hung w/ my wife and two of our kids, went out with my wife and a bunch of people for a friend's birthday celebration, and didn't get to bed til the wee hours of today. Now I'm barely moving.
What a difference weather can make for us Michiganders!

Probably not as a team. So far it's only myself, maybe Patrice, maybe Diane. But for Ann Arbor Diane will be up north on a cycling event, and so far its you, maybe Patrice, and me.
