Happy as a fly on a turd

I know this isn't impressive to most of you, but I'm happy. Did a 13k trail run in (officially) under 2:04 http://www.mapmyfitness.com/workout/272134802 I wasn't ready for it last year and my legs screwed up - 3:18 - had to walk the last 1.5 miles. This year was good for an old fart.

Good on ya! Don't sweat the time; what matters is the distance. If nothing else, remember that you went faster than someone who stayed home and smoked in bed :) B'sides, trail runs (for me, at least) are typically slower than road runs.

A nice round number.

My hero of late is "Red Shorts John" whom I saw in 2 races last summer, a trail 10 miler and a 5 mile steeplechase, and most recently in a 5 mile road race. He's about 81.

Congrats...looks like your doing really good for your age. I was hopelessly beaten and passed on the bike portion of a Sprint triathlon once by a 67 year old guy even though I won my age group overall... he wasn't as good at running though and I barely beat him overall even though I'm 20 years younger.
