I will be doing the Lifetime

I will be doing the Lifetime Fitness Turkey Trot in downtown. It's not a great race, so I'd probably rather be doing yours. What distance is it?

    Hi everyone.  I did the

Hi everyone. I did the Drumstick Dash 10K around Lake Harriet in my VFF Bikilas. 8 degrees at race time. 45:05 (unofficial). New PR. Saw three others in VFF's. No barefooters.

How about you saypay? Did you do your Turkey Trot 5K barefoot?

    No barefoot for me startup.

No barefoot for me startup. I started off that way actually. We went out to the start line of the 5K at around 8am, and I was all ready to go. Well.......the race actually started at 8:30a.m. My toes needed warming up, so I popped on my VFFs before race start. I didn't have time to take them off...and really, they never got feeling in them enough that I would feel comfortable doing so.

My time was 23:26. It's a PR by about 2 seconds. I was hoping to break the time by a lot more, but after falling down on the slippery course, and dropping my hat and having to run back for it, it wasn't in the cards.

What I want to know is how

What I want to know is how someone can beat their PR by ABOUT 2 seconds. About 2 seconds? As opposed to exactly 2.1256734 seconds?

    About 2 seconds because it

About 2 seconds because it wasn't a chip timed race. So I don't know my time exactly. Could have beaten it by three seconds, maybe only one second.

    Smart ass :davie:
