Thirsday evening I PR'd in a 5k @ 21:47. This morning I ran a 10 mile race in Dewey beach. My previous PR for 10 miles was 91 minutes. I finished in 84 minutes this morning! (Barefoot of course) I started out at an 8:30 pace to see how I felt and I was able to hold it for the entire race, I even made a quick potty stop.
At mile 8 we veered off the main road onto a side road that was very rough, it was a tough 1/2 mile, my feet were starting to get a bit tender. Other than that the course was great, it included the full 1 mile of the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, I got a lot of comments there.
Big party w/ beer at the end topped off a great race! My last 3 races, 10k, 5k & 10 miles have all been PR's. Next weekend is the Philly 1/2, I'm going for the sweep!
