    Terra Plana Dharma

    I've had my dharmas close to I've had my dharmas close to a year now, wearing them nearly every day I've worked. Love 'em, no complaints on the toe spring, though some of the stitching near the heel is starting to come loose...was hoping I'd go a bit longer before needing to make any repairs.

    +1 on Neil Stephenson. +1 on Neil Stephenson. Diamond Age is one of my all-time favorites, though Cryptonomicon is usually recommended as the place to start (and I agree). Snow Crash is also classic, especially for presaging Second Life so well.

    What's wrong with my huaraches?

    FWIW, I'm not that into FWIW, I'm not that into walking in my huaraches...I find them much more comfortable to run in than walk in, generally. Have you tried running in them? It can be a pretty different motion, depending on your walking gait.

    I was all ready to chime in I was all ready to chime in with "no, don't do it," but then I saw it was Abide. Having never run a marathon, let alone a barefoot marathon, I think all the advice above make sense. Yay, groupthink!

    I stopped logging mid-year, I stopped logging mid-year, but I was probably ~750 miles on the year, guessing 75-100 of them barefoot, the rest in VFFs and huaraches.
