Yeah! Our new Chapters/Calendar module has been developed. Matt will be adding it to our test site, and we will need maybe three of you who have used our Chapters and Calendar to test it out when the time comes, which should be any day.

Also, when we are ready to implement this new module on the production site, the site will need to be taken completely offline in order to install this new module, as we will be importing our old threads...and later, Calendar Events. We will let you all know when that will be when we know for sure.

This new Chapters/Calendar module will enable the site to link the Calendar Events to their appropriate Chapters, creating an event thread within the Chapters and send email notifications to the members whenever there is a new thread created or responded to within their chapter (with the ability to opt out). A lot went into creating this module in the background, both in the communication and the software, although it may sound simplistic. The existing functionality had to be reinvented and the look has been altered somewhat to show it is truly unique.

We are very excited, as this new module will help to grow the BRS through better communication and organization.

We went to a third party developer for this, so thanks to all who have donated to the BRS to keep us going and growing!

We are one step closer!! And almost there!! We have our new modules on the test site and a few of you will be beta testing them there before we add them here. If you would like to beta test the new Chapters/Calendar modules, please let me know right away. Thanks!

Thanks again, Matt, for all your excellent support. :D

It was A LOT of work Matt and I were doing with Jon, but it's well worth it in all respects. I will contact you once he has the last few kinks worked out on the test site.

We are still working out the kinks with the developer, but it should be soon. Thanks for your patience, everyone.

I now have it on the test board and setup some options. It is now open for select users to test. As most of the major kinks are now gone.

I have not imported new threads in as I want to make sure everything works before import of threads and then i want a test with threads imported. We will need just normal users and admins for groups to test.

After I have gone through the test site, I will invite a few of you. I already have two people signed up. Also, Germans, for some reason, RH. ;)
