I missed running Sunday.

I made up for it going out this morning at regular time (for me) 4:30 am.
It was a great run with a spectacular light show in the sky (meteor showers)
Meteors shooting across the sky everywhere.

Runlite - sounds great but I think if I were running during some good meteor activity I'd end up stubbing my toe since I couldn't pay attention! Unfortunately I'm not a morning person but forced to get up way too early for my job (when I'm on dayshifts) anyhow so no early running for me. I did get to watch a few nights of perseids meteor shower this past summer and got some decent pics too.

Tedlet - ah that sucks! Speedy recovery to you.

As for me, Monday an easy 3.6mi just around the house, then today 7.5 miles with a couple fast miles in there on the rail trail.

Long run yesterday with Yvonne. 14.5 miles, longest in many months. Low 30's with wind that put the 'feels like' in the low 20's. At least the skies were clear and sun was out bright... for the first half.

Just checked the yearly total, looks like I probably won't quite hit my 1,000 mile goal... close, so I'm going to try, but either way I've got more miles in already than I ever have. :)

I was able to run about 14 miles this week. I haven't been able to mentally deal with running in cold weather some of the time this year. It's mostly on the days with icy winds. 6 of my miles were on a treadmill at my husband's gym with Sockwas because footwear is required and I just couldn't make myself go outside. But, I have gotten in some longer spin biking sessions and swimming. Then also a lot of fun dancing Saturday night. Unfortunately, that in Luna's because the consensus was to go to a place that requires footwear. Ironically, the floor was super slick and I'm sure I would have been MUCH safer with bare feet. Still, I danced with my usual enthusiasm and didn't fall, just did more "sliding moves." heh heh

I hear you about the cold, Laura. Running is in part for enjoyment, and well the conditions can really kill that sometimes. Luckily us in the eastern half have been enjoying very mild weather. My last run however, almost 40 degrees, and still had numbness in a couple of toes on my right foot. Just not used to the cold yet this winter.

I got called in unexpectedly Saturday, so didn't get a run in. Sunday I finished the weekend with 8.5 miles at a pretty decent pace for me.

Best week so far this year for me for running mileage, 34.25 barefoot miles. Unseasonably warm on the 10-day forecast still, but half or more of those days are forecasting rain.
