Pain in lower shin?

So I've had my 5 fingers for over a year now, it took me a long while for my feet to adjust. After adjustment I was able to run much farther but a few months ago I started to notice pain in my lower shin about 2/3 of the way down. The pain is on the inside of the leg and feels like its right under the shin bone however my shine itself isn't sore. Any ideas what this might be? doing calf raises seems to worsen the pain, and walking up stairs after a long run I can feel the pain more. Does it have to do with my running form possibly?

Oh and I do a lot of tail running and hiking in my mud runners. After a long day of bolder hopping and climbing my calfs are usually destroyed. It seems like its impossible to let my heel strike when I'm hiking it like I'm always on the balls of my feet all day putting a lot of stress on my calfs.

Sounds like a possible stress fracture. The pain you describe is along the posterior tibialis muscle however, having pain this sharp in one place sounds like a fracture vs. shin splints. I would stop running for a few weeks and see if the pain is gone. An MRI is more definitive if you want an exact answer now
