Welcome New Members! Please Start Here

Hi everyone! I'm new, and I have questions! Where is the best place to ask one about how to strength-train for barefoot running? I've just barely begun, and feeling strong and loving it so far.
Welcome! The Barefoot & Minimalist Running forum will be fine.

Hi Everyone! Glad I found this site. I joined the Indiana Chapter, looking for other barefooters in and around Fort Wayne, IN.
Yes, I like to frolick in the snow. :)

Welcome, Clinton! :barefoot: I noticed you like barefooting in the the snow. Check out our Winter Challenges :coldfeet:

(I think there is more, since we've done it more years, but I can't find the links, if anyone cares to search...)

TJ; Thanks for showing me these winter challenges. Last winter (2013-2014) I had about all the 'challenge' I could handle! Will definitely be participating this winter.

PS: I'm good in shorts and a t-shirt down to about 20 degrees. Colder than that and I need a hat. ;)

Welcome, Beavis!

Hi everyone,
my name's Christine, I'm french and I started running and barefooting in October :) I had never ever run before in my entire life, but -as I spend most of my time barefoot since I was born ^^- one of my friends challenged me... and so here I am. I'm an absolute beginner, but I love it, and I'm glad i found this forum ! :)

Welcome Christine. Don't forget to join the very active Francais Chapter :)

Bienvenue!

You are at an almost unfair advantage in starting altogether fresh to running. Most people have a lot of bad habits to overcome. Good on ya!
thank you for your positive bias , JosephTree :) Well, let's wait and see ! I just ran my first half kilometer barefoot yesterday, let's call it a start :)

De rien!
(forgive spelling, please - I only learned any French by way of interaction with a lovely travelling companion a long, long time ago. As a result my grasp of grammar is very limited and my vocabulary almost moreso - but I have a pretty good accent!)

Your spelling is perfect :) As concerns accent, it's a good thing yours is good, but... you're not without knowing that foreigners speaking one's native language can be very nice... just because they HAVE an accent ^^
