Please let me know if the donors footprints shows up when you post something in the main forums. I'm checking on something after the module installs and upgrades. Thanks! -TJ

50... FIFTY!! How can I be fifty years old? I feel like I only just got my drivers learners permit not all THAT long ago and here I turned fifty in August!

Anyway, to prove to myself I'm not old, I started running again. A 12km Perth City to Surf fun run seemed a lofty goal for a sedentary desk jockey. I trained hard, and did okay (1:10:12), and riding the train on the way home I started talking to a rather out of shape looking guy who had just run the half marathon and thought, "Well, if he can do it, so can I!"

I started researching what I needed to do to make a half marathon, Read Chris McDougall's "Born to Run" which was amazing, went from there to Barefoot Ken Bob's "Barefoot Running - Step by Step", scourged the net for a training plan I liked (thank you www.runnersworld.co.uk).

Ran my first full marathon (solo, no event) December 23rd. Kicked the stuff out of me but 2013 has two full marathon events, five half marathons, and another 5 shorter races penciled in!

  • So far so good. Up to 26km in 2:45:58, although I have to get faster if I want to beat a 4 hour marathon! I'm really enjoying...

First run in my VFFs so kept it short and slow. Went well! A little tight in the calves afterwards, but only a little, and that's...
