As much as I enjoy the cooler weather, I am so very sad to see the morning daylight disappear. I ran in my VFFs yesterday morning for the first time in so long I can't remember the last time I ran in them. It might have very well been on the same day as my last post on June 1st. I resisted the VFFs but running at a time of day when the sun is just cresting the horizonleaves me no choice. I have plenty of tolerance for running barefoot on rough asphalt. However, Iam relianton clear vision to spot the 1/2 " stones laying in the road and on sidewalks. There just isn't enough daylight anymore to highlight the dangers. So,with resignation, I donned the VFFs.
On the bright side, thereis enough daylight forevening barefoot walks through the neighborhood with my husband. The neighbors think I havevery tough feet. Ya know what? I do.
