Leaves, not as nice as you think

Had a great run Saturday morning, except running through the leaves wasn't as great as I thought. 1. the leaves aren't the only thing falling from the trees but they sure do a good job of covering up those sticks! 2. Some trees in our area have a fungus or other disease that causes small hard growths on the leaves. It's like running through pebbles. I had to make a detour whenever I saw them. Of course, that was after I learned my lesson.

Still, everything else about the run was great. The weather could not have been better.

If it's any consolation, you can get used to even the bumpiest leaves after enough BF milage. Even acorns don't bother me much this fall, where I remember them being just awful last year. Maybe this year's crop is just smaller?

Someone asked me the other day if I like running barefoot on leaves. After thinking a bit the answer was no. They are loud, slippery and they hide nasty thinks.
