I quit BFR...

... at least for the next few weeks.

I broke some toes, but not by running barefoot.

So what happened? I did it by getting out of bed. Looks like it is more dangerous for me to get out of bed than to run barefoot. Through the years I've broken 6 to 9 toes getting out of bed half-asleep to go to the john or answer the phone. This time I jumped up to answer the phone and kicked the same phone jack on the wall as I did the last time I broke a toe. I thought I had broke my foot, but after a 3 hour ER visit it was only the last two toes. Poor guys are thinking about going on strike to demand better working conditions.

It's all good. It has given me some time to study and research into why I had an ITBS issue. I bet all of you can guess what the cause was.... too fast, too much, too soon (not barefoot, but my training schedule, period). So, when I restart I'll be working on a new program to help me kick it back up, but the right way this time.

Ouchiemomma! Maybe you should keep the phone on the night stand. At least you would lessen your chances of breaking your toes in the future. I guess for the potty, you could sleep with a catheter. ;-)

I think its time for a good 'ol fashion room rearranging day. I hope it doesn't feel as terrible as it looks :-(

I'll bet you were hopping mad. Pull the jack out of the wall, drink less before going to bed, reflect on TMTS, go back at it! I hope you feel better soon.

Iwas getting up to answer my cell phone... we don't even use the phone jack!!!

Trust me, that thing is so gone.

Seriously mad!!! I so want to get back out there and run. As of today, my foot is starting to feel pretty good, got all my weight back on it. Tried some running in place... feels okay, so maybe today or tomorrow I can go for a mile or so (it has been almost two weeks now).
